Benchmark indices extended the gains and trading at day’s high with Nifty above 17200.

The Sensex was up 930.68 points or 1.64% at 57747.33, and the Nifty was up 267.10 points or 1.57% at 17242.40. About 2216 shares have advanced, 645 shares declined, and 111 shares are unchanged.
